The ultra-versatile Enver Gjokaj. I can’t remember exactly when Mr. Gjokaj’s prodigious talent for becoming different people first started becoming one of my favorite things about Dollhouse — it sort of sneaked up on me, maybe because he was the Russian gangster guy for too long in season one. But especially this season, Enver Gjokaj has become the show’s MVP, effortlessly able to become a serial killer, a sexy girl, the suave Roger, Laurence Dominic, a Rossum Corp. asshole… and most of all, a duplicate Topher. Dollhouse may have been created for Eliza Dushku, but the show’s basic premise was really made for Enver Gjokaj.

Surprise! Thanks to my friend Natalie, the site has a beautiful new design just in time for the Dollhouse finale. I hope you guys will love it as much as I do. Please let me know if you happen to run into any broken links or anything and I will fix it ASAP.

I also installed a new gallery, which can be viewed here. Please note that all the gallery links in the previous posts still link to the old gallery, but I’ll be updating those over the weekend. I’ll also be adding new screencaps this weekend, so be sure to check back in a few days for the new goodies.

Yesterday was Enver’s birthday and on behalf of the site and the fans, I’d like to wish him a very happy birthday, even though it’s a day late. I hope he had a wonderful day with his loved ones.

Please feel free to post your birthday wishes in the comments section and yes, you are free to tell me I’m a bad webmiss for posting about it late while you’re there. I’ve just had a lot going on the past couple of weeks and am behind on absolutely everything. I’ll do my best to get the latest screencaps up for you guys by the end of the week if possible and if for some reason I can’t, they’ll be added over the weekend.

There is currently an eBay auction of Dollhouse memorabilia going on here. Unfortunately there isn’t anything of Enver/Victor’s listed, but there are quite a few other nifty pieces such as Whiskey’s white dress from Epitaph One and Adelle’s pink dress and shoes from A Spy in the House of Love. I wouldn’t mind getting this little piece for myself (I’m in love with the top), but I have a feeling the final price will be out of my price range in the end. Happy bidding!

I’ve just updated the gallery with screencaps of Enver’s performance in episode 2.11 Getting Closer. I thoroughly enjoyed this week’s episode, but did not see those big shock moments coming at all. Craziness! I can’t believe there are only 2 episodes left in the season.

Over at My TV we live and breath Joss Whedon. Ask any of our writers and I would bet that at least two of his shows are in the top 10 on all of our lists.

For me, Buffy and Angel will always hold the top spot (the only non-Whedon series coming close would be Six Feet Under) and Firefly definitely earns a spot in my favorites, but up until recently Dollhouse’s position wasn’t so secure.

With a premature cancellation, I found myself watching less and less of Whedon’s newest offspring. But throw in a winter vacation and some intense alone time and I’m almost caught up. Well, Whedon you’ve done it again: I’m overwhelmingly hooked. It’s a shame that Dollhouse only has a few episodes left because I really could see this show growing. The only flaw at the moment is the speedy plot which was clearly done to bring some sort of closure to the series.
